Civil societies with criticism of institutions for granting permits in Kosovo

The analysis also advises the increase of the staff in the institutions in order for the processes to be examined more quickly. Moreover, it is recommended that one or two members of civil society be involved in this process in order to increase transparency and accountability.

The exact determination of the date of the meeting of the commissions/boards is required in order for the applicants to be notified when their application is reviewed.

The last recommendation requires the re-examination of the fee for the legalization of constructions without a permit. This request comes as a result of the incentive to obtain permits before construction begins. This can be achieved if the legalization fee is much higher than the initial construction permit fee.
