In modern gardens, in one square meter, farmers provide up to 480 healthy seedlings. Whereas, in traditional nurseries in the same space, the number of seedlings reaches only between 100 and 240 seedlings. The PPSE project is supporting the modernization of the first nurseries in Kosovo with the latest technology. Modern nurseries play a critical role in improving and diversifying plants, increasing food security and, in general, rural development. PPSE is a project of the Swiss Development Agency (SDC) and is implemented by Swisscontact in Kosovo and the Riinvest Institute.
