A hearing is held for permission and licensing for Kelkos

On Wednesday, April 19, 2023, at the Basic Court in Pristina, the first session for the permits and licenses of Kelkos will be held.

Citizens of the Municipality of Deçan, Faton Selmanaj, Xhavit Kuçi, Muharrem Lulaj, NGO Pishtari and GLPS will be in defense of the environment and the interest of the people, while the Ministry of Environment, ERO and Kelkosi, in defense of permits and licenses, which allegedly released in ‘obscure circumstances’, in November 2020.

“We have been waiting for almost 3 years for the evidence to be revealed before justice. It is a long-standing struggle, from us as plaintiffs but also from tens of thousands of citizens and other activists from Deçan, Kosovo and the diaspora. The only way forward is full enforcement of the law. We believe in justice! “
