Establishment of the children’s group for the protection of the environment and climate change.
Youth Ecological and Security Zone – EcoZ is a community-based organization that aims to protect the environment and raise awareness among citizens about their opportunities and obligations towards the environment.
Save the Children Kosovo believes that every child deserves a future. Around the world and in Kosovo, we give children a healthy start in life, the opportunity to learn and be protected from harm.
EcoZ in partnership with the organization Save the Children in Kosovo is implementing the project “Environmental Sustainability with Children” which aims to increase the capacities of children on the protection and their rights with special emphasis on the protection of the environment and climate change, as elementary right of every individual.
đHow many children will participate? 100 children.
Who can apply?
All children aged 13-15 who are permanent residents of the municipality of Pristina, Peja, Gjakova and South Mitrovica.

đHow is the selection of children?
The selection of children will be made by the team of the EcoZ Organization following the criteria of the age and region of the participants, early application as well as knowledge on environmental protection and climate change.
đWhen does the project start and how long does it last?
The first phase of the project started in September and will continue until the end of December 2022 but will continue until 2026 with follow-up activities
đWhat activities will be carried out and how often?
During this period we will have 8 workshops, two for each municipality and 4 advocacy plans as well as a national campaign for environmental protection.
đWhat will we develop through this project?
During this project, training on the environment and climate change will take place through working groups made up of children.
We will jointly develop environmental and climate change advocacy plans for the four selected municipalities.
We will organize a virtual national campaign led by children to raise awareness about environmental protection and climate change.
đYou should be part of this group because no one else better than you can advocate and protect the environment and the right to a clean environment. No one can be more powerful in your demands for the rights guaranteed to you by the Convention and the Legislation.
