April 22, Earth Day

Earth Day, celebrated annually on April 22, is a reminder to protect the environment, restore damaged ecosystems, and live a more sustainable life.

Celebrated for the first time in 1970, this year, this day marks its 52nd anniversary.

What is the focus this year?

This year, www.earthday.org has selected the theme, ‘Invest in our planet’. It explains: “This is the moment to change everything – the business climate, the political climate and the way we take action on climate change.

Now is the time for unstoppable courage to preserve and protect our health, our families, our livelihood together, we must “Invest in our planet”.

It also speaks and warns that time is too short and measures must be taken to make changes.
