After the completion of the cycle of online workshops within the framework of “Improving our Environment, Changing our Future” project, BGF held the last online meeting and a certificate distribution event where the elementary students from various communities in Prizren, got to present their designing sustainable schools projects and receive their participation certificates.
The students have been participating in different workshops on sustainability, cliamatechange and environmentalprotecion and have been working in teams during the last three months where they developed different ideas and solutions for making their schools and classrooms more #sustainable.
22 sixth graders are now certified as mini-environmental experts and we hope they will share their knowledge and experience with their peers and raise awareness on climate change and sustainability, now and in the future.
“Emin Duraku” school won the prize for the best idea and will receive a grant to implement the project and leave a positive environmental mark for society. The grant will be handed within the framework of the “Improving our Environment, Changing our Future” project.
This confidence building project is funded by UNMIK – United Nations Mission in Kosovo.
